Feeding

(Mostly light, some species will take small food particles)

Breeding

Mushroom corals will split, form buds and also leave tissue fragments while moving along the substrate that can later develop into new polyps. Often, damaged corals will form buds when unable to repair affected tissues as a survival mechanism.

Social Structure

(Often found clustered together)

Additional Notes

Red Mushroom Corals have been reported to spread rapidly in Reef Aquaria and bother, attack other corals. Additionally, mushrooms are more comfortable on sloped surfaces out of direct sunlight, though this depends on the species.
